One should actually say, wine routes instead of wine route, as there are actually a few different wine routes, closer to twenty wine routes, allocated in the Western Cape. But let’s keep it simple and user freindly. The purpose of a wine route is to introduce guests to the vine growers, the vineyards, local cuisine and obviously wine tasting. If you are a wine lover then this is a must experience, and then yet again, you don’t even have to love wine to enjoy this experience, as you will meet great people on your route. You will enjoy great cuisine, excellent accomodation and some of the most friendly people you will ever meet in your life time, all we can say is “Cheers”
